What We Do
With offices and building projects underway in Schomberg and Picton, Ontario, Geoff has set his sights on providing one-of-a-kind, quality custom homebuilding services in two of the hottest regions on the country.
Picton, an easy two-hour drive from Toronto, lies in the breathtaking Bay of Quinte / Prince Edward County area of eastern Ontario. Home to wineries, provincial parks, two seasonal theatres, canoeing, camping and horseback riding, it is ideally situated to Ottawa, Montreal, Syracuse and Buffalo, and of course the Kingston / 1,000 Islands vacation areas. Haddon Layne Homes currently offers three fully available build to suit acreages in the immediate Picton Peninsula area. The Layne family cottage sits on the southeast edge looking out into Prince Edward Bay – Geoff has much more than just business ventures invested in this community. Working in conjunction with Bill Beaton, Haddon Layne Homes is making a name in the Colonial / Loyalist timber frame style, incorporating existing heritage log structures, period architectural elements and traditional techniques into new builds.

Schomberg, for many years the home base to Layne Woodworks, is an ever-growing village in the rolling hills of south-central Ontario. It is home to some of Canada’s prime horse country. Within easy commuting distance to Toronto, Schomberg’s immediate neighbours are King, Aurora, Newmarket, Orangeville and Kleinberg to name a few. Haddon Layne Homes has three renovation projects on the go currently – all equestrian based properties – and coming soon in King township: an 1840’s church renovation and structural addition. You will want to get in on this project early, as it will not be long on the market.
